About this antenna

A slim fibreglass collinear for the lower half of the UK shared access band. It radiates evenly in every direction, which makes it the natural choice when a radio sits in the middle of the area it has to cover: a farmyard, a holiday park, a boatyard, the centre of a campus.

The trade-off is gain. At 9 dBi it reaches less far in any one direction than a sector, and it hears interference from every direction too. Where the coverage area sits to one side of the mounting point, a sector is usually the better buy.

Where it fits

  • The top of a short pole on a gable end, a barn roof or a clubhouse, clear of the roofline.
  • Sites where the radio sits in the middle of the coverage area.
  • Shared access licences in 3.8–4.0 GHz. For 4.0–4.2 GHz choose the TQJ-4000-4200-9.

Radiation pattern

The manufacturer has not supplied a measured pattern for this model. As a vertical collinear it is omnidirectional in the horizontal plane (360°), with a narrow 8° ± 1° vertical beam, so most of the energy goes out towards the horizon rather than down at the ground close to the pole. If you need a pattern file for planning, ask us and we will request one.
