Bath city centre is covered by a dedicated, high-speed 5G network which gives your stall uninterrupted, trader-only Wi-Fi, even when the city is full and the Rugby is on.

New this year: the Wi-Fi units will be permanently mounted on the rear of a number of the cabins, so the Wi-Fi will be universally available and installed ahead of the market starting.

How it works
- 1Book and pay
Choose your pass, your days and your stall number, then pay by card. It takes a couple of minutes.
- 2Get your password
Your own password for the trader network comes straight after payment, on screen and by email. It works on the days you have booked, and is for your business only, so please do not share it with other traders.
- 3Trade
Join your card machine and phone to it at your stall. We walk round the market regularly, or WhatsApp us if you need a hand.

›Why not just use the 4G in my card machine?
On a busy market day tens of thousands of visitors are sharing the same public mobile masts, and when the Rugby is on as well they fill up. A card machine that cannot get through times out, and that is a lost sale. Our 5G network covers the market streets for traders only, so your terminal is not queuing behind everyone else’s phones.
›What does it work with?
Anything that joins Wi-Fi: card terminals (SumUp, Square, Zettle, Dojo and the rest), tablets and tills, and your phone for posting to social media. It is sized for running a stall rather than streaming video, so please keep it to your own stall’s devices.
›Where do I find my stall number?
It is on your pitch allocation from the market team, and usually marked on the chalet, for example BD16. If you are not sure, put your best guess and your business name, and we will check it with you before your first day.
›When do I get connected?
As soon as you have paid, you get your own Wi-Fi password, on screen and by email. It works on the days you have booked, so on your first day just join your card machine to the trader network. We will also be walking round the market regularly, and if anything is not working you can WhatsApp us and we will come to your stall.
›Can I share my password with the stall next door?
No. One Wi-Fi password is issued to support one specific trader or business, and it should not be shared with other traders. Each stall that wants to get online needs its own pass, which keeps the network quick for the card machines on it.
›Can I add days later?
Yes. Come back to this page and book the extra days for the same stall with the same email address, and your password stays the same, so nothing needs re-entering on your card machine. If you find you need four or more, the 9-day pass works out cheaper, and the page will tell you.
